GSM Based Device Control System For College Lab and Home Project Report

Introduction.
Every system is automated in order to face new challenges in the present day situation. Automated systems have less manual operations, so that the flexibility, reliabilities are high and accurate. Hence every field prefers automated control systems. Especially in the field of electronics automated systems are doing better performance.

Probably the most useful thing to know about the global system for mobile communication is that it is an international standard. If you travel in parts of world, GSM is only type of cellular service available. Instead of analog services, GSM was developed as a digital system using TDMA technology.

The goal of the project is to design and develop a system, which uses Mobile technology that keeps control of the various devices are in the college lab. Which is control or executes device with respect to the signal sent by the mobile?

This system has two main modules:

1. Mobile unit
2. GSM Modem along with controller unit.

  MobileUnit:
We able to send SMS to which is network SIM having the GSM modem by the mobile according our decided SMS. As well as we knew the acknowledgement ON/OFF status of the device after few seconds delayed by our mobile itself.

GSM Modem Unit:
The devices is getting ON/OFF when the microcontroller remains signal to driver unit by given SMS our mobile. Here any one SIM inserted into the GSM modem, and then it is connected to entire mobile network when the power is given to modem. We have the SMS like “device1 on”,”device1 off”, and “device2 on”,”device2 off” etc.. That will be store into flash memory of the microcontroller. Its SMS belongs to team member of this project.
