Intelligent Train Engine For Object Id, Track Failure, Signals And Level Cross Projet Report

Introduction.
We know that the railway network of India is the biggest in south Asia and perhaps the most complicated in all over the world. There are so many different types of trains local, fast, super fast, passenger, goods…. etc. and their so many multiple routs. Although the time table is perfect it is not at all possible to maintain it. And that’s why the train accidents are becoming more and more usual. So why not we add a kind of intelligence to the train engines itself so that it tries to avoid accidents.
First model will for detecting the object, the object sensor will placed on the train engine and this sensor will detect when any object (Human, animal and Etc.,) are mound on the track and it will take a action like to stop the train and the same time it will display the information on to the train engine room it self. The same unit will have a track failure system also but this system will have the attachment with the track if any track is broken or failure it will sense and the train will stop automatically.
Second model deals with automatic railway gate operation (i.e.) implemented in unmanned level crossings at remote areas. Detection of train approaching the gate can be sensed by means of four sensors placed on either side of the gate. Train arrival and departure sensing can be achieved by means of Relay techniques. When the wheels of the train moves over, both tracks are shorted to ground and this acts as a signal to microcontroller indicating train arrival. RED signal appears for the road user, once the train cuts the relay sensor placed before the 5Kms before the gate .A buzzer is made on as a pre cautionary measure for the road users. Once micro controller senses that there are no vehicles inside, it automatically produces signal to operate motor through relay circuit and hence close the gate for passage of train. This can be implemented in manned level crossings also, as manual errors can be eliminated by automation.
We are going to build the live working Model, which will have the following, features:
1. Live Working Mechanical Model of the Train and track
2. Wireless TX/RX with 433.92 MHz, ISM B and, 4 MHz Bandwidth, for Secured Communication
3. Object sensor – Transceivers
4. Track failure Sensor
5. Gate control ID sensor and Etc.,
